Barney Greengrass

(located on the fifth floor of Barneys New York)

Story continues below advertisement

9570 Wilshire Blvd

Barney Greengrass Restaurant has always been a favorite among breakfast loving foodies in L.A. Barney Greengrass Deli originated in the Upper West Side of New York, known for its matzo ball soup and bagels. The restaurant is located on the fifth floor of the department store Barneys. The Barney Greengrass menu is vast, but the N.Y. deli transplant is known for their breakfast items. Barney Greengrass is the only place in Los Angeles where you can grab a bagel and lox while enjoying a scenic view of Los Angeles and the Hollywood sign. Whether noshing on the double chocolate chip pancakes, or chowing down on its famous Chinese Chicken Salad, Barney Greengrass perfectly blends an East Coast and West Coast atmosphere.
Toast Bakery & Cafe

8221 W 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA 90048

On the other side of town, in the heart of Third Street, Toast Bakery and Cafe serves breakfast classics with a gourmet twist. Toast is a favorite among Los Angeles foodies and celebrities. The menu is filled with breakfast items, such as Cinnamon Crunch French Toast and Banana Pecan Pancakes. In addition to other breakfast favorites like omelettes and waffles, Toast also serves a variety of sandwiches and salads, as well as baked goods. Our favorite lunch bites were the Triple Decker Toast Club sandwich and the Huevos Rancheros, served in a cast-iron skillet. The atmosphere at Toast is casual and relaxed, with quick and reliable service.
