Although the match led to a staggering loss, the team used it as a learning experience.
“We communicated well and were good at adjusting when players moved around. We could improve our passing and shooting,” senior Molly Rabin said.
Junior Jean Park hopes that the team will see more success in the next game, which will take place at home on Dec. 20 against Notre Dame High School.
“I felt that our performance as a team wasn’t the best today, and I think more practice is needed in order for better results next game,” Park said.
Rabin believes that the lack of practice, due to the unavailability of the Swim Gym, was one of the factors that led to the team’s performance.
“We haven’t had practice because first the basketball court was broken, and it couldn’t be opened or closed. Then, a weeklong basketball tournament was using the court,” Rabin said. “This did affect our performance because each day we aren’t in the pool, we are getting out of shape and losing experience.”
Nevertheless, Rabin remains hopeful for the team’s prospects this season.
“We are going to try our hardest and do the best that we can.”
