The girls varsity tennis team defeated the El Segundo Eagles by a match score of 15-3.
“I think the team performed great overall,” singles player Martina Bocchi said. “Now, most of the girls are confident with their game, which is a plus for the team, and slowly they’re winning more and more matches.”
Singles player Lolita Gorbacheva credited their coach, Mike Margolin, with inspiring the team beforehand, and the doubles teams for leading the way in the win.
“Coach gave us a really great pep talk, as always, so that really made the team want to win more and play harder. Also, our doubles really pulled through for the whole team and played the best they played all year,” Gorbacheva said.
Girls varsity tennis’ next match is away at the Santa Monica (SAMO) Vikings on Oct. 23
