This email and PDF (Prop 30 and 38), regarding Propositions 30 and 38, were sent to the Beverly Hills Unified School District community, and republished here with the permission of Superintendent Dr. Gary Woods.
Dear BHUSD Staff Members,
I wanted to share with you an EdSource Infographic document that compares both Prop 30 and Prop 38.
We have placed this document on our website for information purposes.
We anxiously await a decision from CA voters and the resulting actions our Governor and Legislators will take regarding State funding for our schools.
This is a stressful time for all of us in public education. It’s tragic that our State continues to disinvest in our schools. In an economy where “knowledge is the most valuable commodity a person and a country have to offer” it seems shortsighted to disassemble the engine responsible for developing economic, social and political growth in our society.
Yet, we must not allow our hope and passion for our craft to be tarnished in any way.
Most Sincerely,
Gary W. Woods
