St. Patrick’s Day is a holiday known for many things–four leaf clovers, pots of gold, leprechauns and sugary snacks, just to name a few. And there is one delicious cereal that combines all of these things: Lucky Charms. If you’re looking to make a St. Patrick’s Day-themed dessert, Sally’s Baking Recipes’ Lucky Charms bark recipe is a quick and tasty option.
The best part about this recipe is that it only requires three ingredients: Lucky Charms marshmallows, rainbow sprinkles and white chocolate. To get started, you need to melt the white chocolate. This can be done either in a double boiler, which is the preferred method, or a microwave.
Immediately after your white chocolate is melted, pour it over a large baking sheet and spread out the white chocolate so it is distributed evenly. Then, quickly add your marshmallows and sprinkles over the mixture. If your marshmallows don’t come in a marshmallow-only bag of Lucky Charms, you should probably sort and measure your marshmallows before you melt the white chocolate, as this process is fairly lengthy.
After that, all you have to do is wait 45 minutes and then break up your bark. If you have enough for multiple days of bark, make sure to keep it sealed as tightly as possible, as exposure to air will leave the marshmallows flat and without their signature crunch.
The resulting candy is a crunchy, festive dessert with incredibly sweet notes. While its flavors aren’t the most complex, the treat is still extremely enjoyable to eat.
