SUNDAY, JAN. 26- The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles have secured a spot in the 59th Super Bowl, which will take place on Sunday, Feb. 9 in New Orleans.
In the AFC West, the Kansas City Chiefs played against the Buffalo Bills, beating them 32-29. Although the Kansas City Chiefs are a popular team due to their record, not everyone was happy about the outcome. According to Skip Bayless, an ESPN personality, he believed that “the league was rigging the game for the Chiefs.” NFL Fans were in agreement with him as well, one fan expressed, “most NFL Fans hate the Chiefs and it’s not because they win, but how they win.”
“I was bummed out that the Bills lost, because I thought that the refs really helped the chiefs,” sophomore Aaron Artal said.
This will be their sixth time heading to the Super Bowl as they have won two consecutive championships and their first win started in 1970.
In the NFC East, the Philadelphia Eagles played against the Washington Commanders, beating them 55-23. This will be their fifth time heading to the Super Bowl, but they only won one championship in 2018.
Based on both of those teams’ records, who do you think is favored to win? Super Bowl Sunday has been a special American tradition for 58 years and it’s been a time for friends and family toc spend time together while enjoying football.
