On May 21, Beverly presented its highly anticipated annual Fashion Exhibit in the Multi-Media Center. The event showcased the creativity and dedication of all fashion design students, providing them with a platform to display and showcase their original designs and craftsmanship.
The exhibit featured diverse arrays of student-created outfits and designs, showing various styles and inspirations. Attendees had the opportunity to view these creations up close, gaining insight into the students’ design processes and techniques. This event celebrated the students’ achievements in fashion.
Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, a DJ played music throughout the day, enhancing the experience with lively music.
Fashion instructors Meridith Miller and Sahar Hersel, along with sewing instructor Aulden Dion, guided students through the design process, from conceptualization to final presentation. Their mentorship was beneficial in helping students develop their skills and bring their visions to life.
The exhibit was open to all students and staff to experience the talent and innovation of their peers up close and was an overall success. Students supported the work of their fellow peers and enjoyed gazing upon the creative and stylish designs.
“I enjoyed the event a lot and am very proud of what we’ve done, especially in the little amount of time we had. My pieces were a corset and a skirt, which I fused with blue jeans, sheer lace, and nylon. I also made a white bohemian dress. The skirt and the corset were the hardest pieces, but they turned out great in my opinion,” sophomore Krishelle Ellis said.
This event was a foundation for students’ evolving potential careers in fashion. This event truly showcased Beverly’s commitment to cultivating creativity and preparing students for their future endeavours in the fashion industry and beyond.
