The Girls Frosh volleyball team had a home game against Lawndale on Sept. 19. They won by a score of 25-15. They fought really hard for this well-deserved win!
When asked how the season has been going, freshman Alea Marcus responded, “It’s been really fun and I enjoy playing as a team.”
During tough matches, the volleyball team would motivate one another by giving pep talks and sharing valuable advice.
When talking with Freshman Gili Chocoron, she stated, “All the teamwork and the communication made the biggest difference in this game compared to other games.”
In the game, the coaches would stand on the sidelines, cheering and motivating the team, and offering advice to the players.
Their strong serves and hard teamwork helped them take the win in the two sets.
Freshman Amirlan Gombo made the last serve over the net, which sealed the victory for the Frosh/Soph BHHS team.
She stated, “ I had a lot of pressure on me and my hands were shaking, but I realized this is what I need to do to get my team to win, and I gave it all my might, and I got an ace, and we won!
During the game, the varsity team would cheer on the Frosh team from the sidelines. After they won the set, they would all celebrate and huddle together.
The team went through hard rallies but had lots of communication amongst each other, which gave the team confidence as they headed on to their last game. Overall, they had an amazing performance.
