On Monday, February 1, Service Learning’s first ever Wish Week began with multiple assemblies throughout the day aiming to encourage students to take part in the week’s festivies, as well as donate to the Make A Wish Foundation.
The assembly featured a video made by the Make A Wish foundation recounting the history of the organization, a speech by greater LA county “Kid for Wish Kids” coordinator Taylor Kalman, and a KBEV video of an interview with Wish Kid Lillibeth.
Wish Week festivities will continue every day this week.
Tuesday – Dodgeball Tournament
Wednesday – Disney Day
Thursday – Staff Karaoke on Front Lawn
Friday – Basketball Game vs. Lawndale, Fatburger Food Truck, and special guest Lillibeth
