The boys varsity water polo defeated Torrance High School 13-9 on Oct. 22.
Captain Justin Shegerian noted a quick attack in the beginning of the match led to the victory.
“We played well. We scored a lot of goals. Michael Fox started us off really strong by scoring a goal to begin the game and our team fed off of that opening energy,” Shegerian said.
Even though they played well, junior Blake Ackerman believes that the team can build further on this victory.
“We have to keep our momentum going for the rest of our season,” junior Blake Ackerman said.
Varsity boy’s water polo’s next game is on Tues. Oct. 28 at Culver City High School.
