The Work Experience class is offering students an opportunity to apply as a summer intern in a location of their choice. Students who enroll in the five-week session work experience course will receive five credits for a job and internship they will be enrolled in during the summer. Two work experience classes are offered, the first is Office Occupations and the other Retail Marketing. The courses will offer students insight on writing resumes, cover letters and creating professional portfolios. The class will take place Tuesday evenings, 6-9 p.m. beginning July 3.
Students who enroll and complete this course may also apply for a summer internship at the City of Beverly Hills, Beverly Hills Superior Court, Beverly Hills Small Animal Hospital or as a teacher’s assistant at El Rodeo School. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and must complete an online application and submit a writing sample stating their intent and reason for applying. The internship also requires a six-week commitment with a minimum of 15 hours per week.
