Across Beverly Hills, businesses have been finding new and innovative ways to stay open. Curtis Stone’s Maude has transformed from a high-end restaurant into a marketplace on Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. offering baked goods, ready meals and other groceries.
Color Me Mine, a glazing studio on South Beverly Drive, is offering painting kits to go for artists at home. Pioneer Hardware, the oldest family owned business in Beverly Hills, is offering curbside pick up as well.
With a line of people — all six feet apart — out their door on most days throughout the week, Urth Caffé has kept their doors open with a socially distanced seating area for customers waiting for their orders.
The city is largely filled with small businesses, whether relatively new, like Nerano, or older like Malibu Clothes on Beverly Drive.
There are many different ways to help these stores and restaurants whether you are leaving your house or not.
When it comes to restaurants, take out through Postmates or DoorDash is a simple option. The Chamber of Commerce has compiled a list of restaurants along with their individual websites all available on the Chamber’s website to give you more insight on ways to help.
If you’re not looking to order in food for yourself, or if you are looking for a way to help out the frontline workers and first responders, Meal to Heal gives you the opportunity to donate meals and support local businesses.
In terms of clothing and merchandise, shopping from places with curbside or contactless pick up or delivery is also extremely beneficial.
Here in Beverly Hills we have so many local businesses who give so much to the community and donate to school and BHEF events, now is a wonderful time for us to give something back to them.
