On Friday, Feb. 1, the boys varsity soccer team took on Santa Monica High School in a tense rivalry game at Beverly. Elijah Lichtenberg scored a goal in the first half, only for the Vikings to score in the second half and force an overtime. Lichtenberg scored again in overtime to win 2-1, defeating the squad’s biggest rivals and league championship contenders. The team will play tomorrow, Feb. 5 against Inglewood. With a win, the team will secure their first Ocean League championship since 1992.
