The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) is hosting its 2013 Spring Los Angeles National College Fair at the Pasadena Convention Center on Thursday, April 25 from 9 am to 12 pm.
According to the Counseling Dept., the fair will allow students to meet with hundreds of college admissions representatives, as well as learn about school programs, majors, campus life, clubs, activities and more. The college fair will include sessions conducted primarily byadmissions counselors on topics ranging from financial aid and how to do well on college interviews to tips on how to successfully transition into college life and enjoy the experience.
“I’m really looking forward to going to the fair in Pasadena,” junior Miriam Binman said. “Not only do I get to miss a day of school, but I’m looking forward to listening to any tips regarding the college application process that an admissions counselor can offer.”
According to the NACAC official site, representatives from over a hundred colleges and universities all around the world will be in attendance including all the schools in the University of California (UC) system, Boston University, the California Institute of Technology, Washington University in St. Louis and hundreds more.
“I think going to this fair will really help me narrow my choices of where I want to go to college,” junior Sam Levy said. “There are obviously a lot of good schools attending, but I’m primarily going to pick and choose my safety schools.”
For students who are unable to attend this specific college fair in Pasadena, Beverly is hosting the 2013 College Connections Fair in the cafeteria on Monday, April 29 for all Beverly students.
