BREAKING NEWS: Lisa Korbatov, Howard Goldstein to fill two open seats on Board of Education

Incumbent Lisa Korbatov and challenger Howard Goldstein were victors of the Beverly Hills Board of Education election. After all 10 precincts were counted, the two are sure to fill the vacated positions on the Board (though provisional votes have yet to be tallied). According to bhcourier.com, Goldstein ended with 1,333 votes (43.08%), Korbatov with 1,332 (43.05%), challenger James Fabe with 267 (8.63%) and John P. Dohm, who ended his campaign shortly after placing his name on the ballot, with 162 (5.24%).

Of the 22,061 registered Beverly Hills voters, only 3,094 people showed up to the polls to place their vote (roughly 14%).
