Screen shot 2015-11-23 at 3.25.07 PMBetween Santa Monica and the Wilshire Boulevards hung 16Baccarat chandeliers alongside 42 iridescent palm trees as hundreds of Beverly Hills residents came to celebrate the beginning of the holiday season, all while enjoying the Christmas tunes of the Beverly Hills High School Marching Band.
Around a thousand lights lit up Rodeo Drive, as another 50,000 illuminated Beverly Wilshire and the Four Seasons Hotel, celebrating the seasonal spectacular that is the Beverly Hills Lighting Ceremony yesterday, Nov. 22.
On top of radiant lights and a confetti “snow” shower, a blessing from Beverly Hills Mayor Julian Gold and an early visit from Santa Claus paved the way to the arrival of the 2015 Holidays.
Lasting from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the ceremony was and is always open to the public. This year, the festivities took place on the corner of the 300 block of Rodeo Drive, near the intersection of Rodeo Drive and Brighton Way.
