Through glamour, style and an out of this world performance, Lady Gaga truly dazzled us all with her electric stage presence in Indio, CA. She performed new songs off her album, “Mayhem,” as well as some of the biggest hits in her discography, including “Judas”, “Poker Face” and “Bad Romance.”
In my opinion, her performance, dubbed “Mayhem in the Desert,” visually represented well her relationship with fame and the chaos that comes with it. This performance truly showed that in a very captivating and true way.
I am still buzzing from the electric two-hour performance I witnessed at around 11:20 pm at Coachella on Friday, April 18. As I stepped into the festival grounds, anticipation seemed to fill the air. The stage was suddenly transformed into a breathtaking brutalist opera house, and as the lights dimmed, the crowd erupted into cheers.
Lady Gaga emerged in a dramatic red cape, performing her fan favorite “Bloody Mary” to open the night. I loved how the visuals for the performance showcased a dark, edgy aesthetic that fit the song and defined her “Mayhem” era. It almost felt surreal to witness her performance live.
As the show neared its grand finale, my excitement peaked. Gaga closed with her iconic hit “Bad Romance,” appearing in the stunning and seemingly angelic white outfit with feathered wings. The crowd and I sang along, creating an unforgettable moment, a true celebration of music and artistry.
In my opinion, Lady Gaga’s performance at Coachella 2025 was an incredible success and one of the best Coachella performances of all time. This two hour performance really showcased her extraordinary talent.
I left the festival while joining the crowd in chanting “Ga-ga, Oh-la-la!” feeling exhilarated, and as if coming from a fever dream, I’m grateful to have experienced such a spectacle. It was a truly special experience.
