News in brief:
In a program with 31 sections with a total enrollment of 845 students, 15 students were nominated by faculty of the Regional Occupational Program (ROP) to compete for one of five spots at the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) Competition to be held on Tuesday, March 13. In order to qualify to move from Beverly to the county competition, students had to complete an interview with a panel of three judges who scored them using a specific rubric.
Scoring was close, and five students were chosen to move on to the county level. Senior Edmund Hong, Advanced Culinary Arts; senior Jasmine Ganji, Film & Video Production; senior Joshua Galen, Sports & Entertainment Marketing; senior Max Schwartz, Film & Video Production; and junior Pasha Farmanara, Desktop Publishing, will all represent Beverly’s ROP program at LACOE.
