Beverly Hills High School held its annual staff versus seniors dodgeball tournament on April 28 in the Swim Gym. Many students and staff showed up to watch and support both teams. 

At the beginning of the tournament, most people thought the seniors would win since they had won the first point. However, the teachers got together and won 2-1.

Freshman Kayla Geola said, “I came to support the seniors because I thought they would win, but the teachers surprised me.”

At the start of the game, seniors won the first match by giving their best effort, dodging all the balls, and getting the teachers out. They gave it their all and stayed focused throughout all the rounds. 

As the game went on, the teachers started to work together better. Instead of just dodging, they caught some of the balls, which helped bring their teammates back into the game.  

The game got more intense as it went on, since both students and teachers were eager to win.

Teacher Kyle Kobe said, “Before the game started, because this year is Assistant Principal Phil Chang’s last year, I was trying to hype him up, saying and shouting and getting in his face about how this is his last year and he has to leave everything on the field.” 

The audience cheered for both teams. Even though the seniors lost, they still gave it their all. The tournament was a fun event that the school held for seniors before they graduate, bringing students and staff members together. Everyone had a great time and created great memories together.
