The varsity water polo team suffered a defeat to the Santa Monica High School (Samo) Vikings Oct. 14 by a score of 7-14.
“We had a strong defense throughout the first quarter and we were able to contain their game,” winger Blake Ackerman said.
According to the Normans, the team has been fighting hard and are hopeful about this season.
“We need to focus on our strategy and how we move the ball. We are going to start focusing harder and working harder in practice and it will show improvement in our next games,” Ackerman said.
Boys water polo’s next league game is away on Oct. 22 against Torrance.
