From singing and dancing to comedy skits and magic, talented Normans of all grade levels will be gathered at the the third annual “Beverly’s Got Talent” show. The show will be taking place in the Salter Theater on Jan. 24 at 6 p.m.
A panel of judges consisting of teachers will be present, and they will be presenting a surprise prize to the winner of the show. Last year, the prize was a pair of Beats by Dr. Dre.
“I’m really ecstatic to be performing alongside all of my wonderful and talented peers,” senior Samantha Boudaie, who is performing a comedy skit with senior Lital Peykar, said. “It’s my last semester as a senior, and I just want to have some fun and give a good performance.”
ASB, led by junior Ryan Abrishami and sophomore Aaron Rahmani, has been in charge of making sure the show runs smoothly.
“We’ve done many preparations for the show, like advertising it during the [Wish Week] assembly [and] asking teachers to offer extra credit for students who attend,” Abrishami said.
Auditions took place in December, and after much practice, the performers are ready to show off their skills.
“I’ve seen some of the other acts, and they all look really great,” Peykar said. “I’m really excited to show off my skit with Sammie [Boudaie].”
Tickets will be $10, and Fatburger will be sold outside the venue. All proceeds will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation for Wish Week.
“I’m most excited to see students at Beverly who are passionate [enough] about their talents to come and perform for their friends and family,” Abrishami said. “It’s also a unique experience to see so many different categories of acts come together.”
