On Jan. 17, the Alo events hosted a 3-mile long run for people looking for a fun way to get exercise. Alo Events launched in 2021 after the pandemic for the initiative of spreading yoga to the world as well as mindfulness. Specifically, the running club, launched in 2024, aims to promote its running shoes and athletic wear.
Alo Events hosts a running club every Saturday in the West LA area. The run begins with a warm-up at a designated meeting spot, followed by the three-mile run. The run is usually about an hour long. All the runners come with high energy, which is motivating and uplifting to see.
Alo events are also free, making them accessible to all people, regardless of their situation. To sign up for a workout by Alo, you search up “aloevents.com,” and they have many different options aside from running, such as wellness reset rituals, mat pilates and more.
Frequent club runner Debra Rubins said, “I saw a video of it on Instagram, which intrigued me to come try it out, and I was also looking for a good exercise spot.”
Depending on the location, users can receive free items like socks at these events. Another runner, Greg Rabkin, said, “The run was a lot of fun, and a great group of people too.”
Everybody at the Alo runners club seemed happy and energized, and it was a great workout and experience being with a bunch of people giving it their all, no matter their level
